What artists and students are saying about learning with us

Delightful Pea

I liked learning about the intricacies and all the elements that come into being a Storyboard artist in a studio! The collaboration in particular. I’m excited to use these details when I finally do get a storyboard job in a studio 😁

Vaughn - Storyboarding Department

I liked everything. Everything was useful. When someone else asked questions, it was something I wasn't thinking of but needed to know. I learned so much in only 2 hours. Im on my way!

Maurice - Rigging Department

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐/⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I'd give you 10/5 stars if I could.

Derek - Production Department

The session you held that day shed a light of what rigging in Toon Boom is and I think right now I'm on the right track. Thank you so damn much!

Your friend Vandi - Rigging Department

I guess I am very lucky because this work brought together my favourite skills, even if they are very far a part, art and logic. Im very greatful for this oppertunity, these skills are not usually paired. By the way, you guys gave me all the information I needed, you changed my life really. I can't believe I get to be a part of this industry 🙏

Alessia - Rigging Department

Amazing review, seriously I can't state how much I appreciate the initiative!

Camilo

I really appreciated being let in for free, but was wondering if there was a way to retroactively pay for the class. I got a ton out of it and really enjoyed Anita's presentation :)

Rachel - Compositing Department

also 100% it really does mean the world ... because i truly do think this is one of the best communities I've ever come across and i want to be able support you all as often as i can

Hope - Storyboarding & Designs Department

... it's the tone you set in the server, honestly! It's a very supportive space 💛

This program is for you if…

✅ You’ve completed your foundational training, through a college/university program or self-directed study, and you’re ready for the next step

✅ Or if you're self-directed, and you’re ready for the next step, email accounts@eatyourpeas.ca to qualify

✅ You’re ready to work in the industry, or to start producing your own project

✅ You want a competitive demo reel or portfolio piece backed by real production experience, not just personal exercises

✅ You like having a clear, structured path — exact steps, not guesswork

✅ You (or you + your friends) want to eventually start your own studio and produce your own series.

The P'studio is built for a range of learners — including those who are neurodiverse. Every department offers structured routines, daily one-on-one feedback, and a team environment where different ways of thinking are genuinely valued.

📅 All Classes follow a flexible weekly work schedule & format

📅 We'll model 40 hour work weeks

⏰ Teachers available between 8:00 am - 6:00 PM PST

🥦 Participation is required — this is a working studio model, not a self-paced course.

🥦 Every department has a designated supervisor.

🥦 Daily interaction, plus dedicated weekly 1-on-1 time with your supervisor

🥦 Beginner lessons are pre-recorded so you can rewatch anytime; key meetings are scheduled live, so it actually feels like a studio

🥦 We keep a 10:1 student-to-teacher ratio across every department, so you’re never just a number

Nope. You just need the fundamentals — the kind taught in any art, design, or animation program. We’ll teach you everything that comes after.

A certificate, diploma, or equivalent is required… It's not an intro course… Acceptance is not guaranteed.

Self-taught and never been to school? Email us at accounts@eatyourpeas.ca — we evaluate those applications individually.

🍏 A beginner-friendly start that builds, week by week, into real industry-standard production quotas.

🍏 Healthy working habits that transfer to an actual studio job — not just animation skills.

🍏 A full-time, 3-month core program, with flexible options to keep going afterward

By the time you finish, you'll have…

🍐 6–9 months of continued practice access.

🍐 The practical knowledge that normally takes up to 2 years on the job.

🍐 A certificate verifying your skill level and production quota speed.

🍐 The confidence of knowing you can hold your own across departments in a real pipeline.

🍐 A network and the connections to launch your own series production.

Not bad, eh?

Your enrollment includes a 1-year license for your department’s software — Adobe Photoshop, Toon Boom Storyboard Pro, or Toon Boom Harmony Premium, depending on your pathway.

🧃 Art & Design:

🧃 Storyboarding:

Storyboard Pro, the industry standard for planning animated and live-action projects.

🧃 Animation Production: Rigging, Paperless, Cut-out, FX, Compositing:

Harmony Premium for production and post-production.

These are the same tools working studios use — check each company’s system requirements before you start.
